The history of “Guidetti Recycling System” is intertwined with the story of Mauro Guidetti and his ability to seize future challenges.
It all began in 1987 when Andrea Gallini Pirani – a scrap dealer from Casumaro – posed the first challenge to Mauro Guidetti. “Come on Mauro, are you able to build a machine to separate the parts of these machines that arrive here? Because then I have to dismantle them to separate the sheet metal from the plastic, copper, and iron“.
Pirani doesn’t imagine that Guidetti is not only ready to “give it a try,” but will succeed in his intent, revealing the DNA of the future Guidetti Recycling System: innovative character, ability to interpret market needs and offer custom solutions.
“I built it inside his warehouses. I recovered everything I could find around. I couldn’t afford either an errand boy or an engineer. I made it entirely on my own“.
Mauro Guidetti begins to produce machinery that separates elements of all kinds, for auto dismantlers, cable manufacturers, industrial demolishers, cable producers, and scrap dealers.
Acquired experience, investments in research and development – over 20% of turnover – allow for significant steps forward (those that will bring Guidetti products from the countryside of Renazzo to the whole world) and address the e-waste market, one of the most critical, responsible for the increase in waste globally.
Shredding technologies are refined and the first machines capable of recovering materials from cell phones, computers, small and large appliances are created, obtaining new, very fine raw materials: aluminum, nickel, gold, lead, copper, and zinc.
The Life Cycle of Products Changes in a Virtuous Way.
Electric cables, appliances, disused machinery, from “problem to dispose of” are transformed into valuable material, which allows avoiding new extractions, harmful emissions, waste of resources and energy.
This success expands the market of Guidetti Recycling System, which gains shares in Europe, Russia, Korea, Japan, Canada, Mexico, and the United States of America where, in 2015, it inaugurates the Atlanta USA headquarters.
Today, Guidetti’s compact machines are taken as a model by numerous manufacturers in the sector, because they guarantee the best level of dry separation, excellent soundproofing levels, ease of use, compact size, low management and processing costs.
Mauro Guidetti can consider his company the undisputed leader in the recycling and material recovery sector, but the history of Guidetti is still at the beginning.
