IERC 2018. Interview to Sara Ria, Sales Department
Retrospective on the International WEEE Congress.
The International Electronic Recycling Congress - held in Salzburg from January 16th to 19th - is an exclusive and prominent event in the WEEE recycling field.
How long have you taking part to the Congress?
Around 8 years. Main companies and leading organizations in the field of electric and electronic waste take part to the Congress.
Two days of conferences covering all aspects of electronic waste recycling: from current market developments and new technological trends to new country-specific rules.
It is important for us taking part, finding, keeping and developing new important contacts with authorities, producers, associations, NGOs and media.
Which one of your machines have raised more interest?
Which countries are most interested in your machines?
Countries of Eastern Europe, Middle East, United States of America, but also Russia and Western Europe.
What happened to IERC 2018?
We focused on the changes necessary in the global E-Waste management.
New technologies and higher automation have been identified as fundamental to improve the recycling of WEEE.
A successful WEEE recycling can be further complicated by local and global environmental regulations, so companies involved need to continually update their activity to keep up with an ever-changing field.
Everything shows that E-Waste will keep on growing at unprecedented levels, therefore a more global approach is also needed.
We believe that our technology can help the circular economy become a practical application, not pure theory, by contributing to sustainable innovation for the environment.
